RON HART: Stop Whining, Elon Musk Did Capitalism The Right Way

One of the many downsides of the rise of “Democrat Socialists” is their disdain for business, entrepreneurs, capitalism, and land rights. Theirs is an envy-driven agenda that trash-talks success and tells their voters they are owed the money earned by those who earned it. It’s an easy sell to the less educated among us.

Capitalism has made this country great. Countries without it, or with some form of crony capitalism, fail their people. Competitive capitalism lifts people out of poverty and is indispensable to human liberty.

California and some other loony left states have proposed taking money from those who have earned it, even after they have paid taxes on it. The result? Many have, and many more will leave. Money goes where it is treated best.

Taxes take money from the most efficient allocators of money: the wealthy who earn and create jobs and pay more taxes by investing in more companies, and give it to the least efficient and most corrupt users of money: the government. Along the way in his career, Elon Musk has, in the case of SpaceX, made a thousand millionaires out of welders and rocket engineers. Democrat Socialists like AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Zohran Mamdani are some of the many calling for stealing the after-tax wealth of billionaires like Elon Musk for their own inefficient, government-agenda-like reparations. Only libs could demand reparations for African Americans to be taken from Musk, an African American.

Elon Musk’s success in America did not come at the expense of those who did not create a high-end electric car, who did not create SpaceX, launch satellites, and save free speech by buying Twitter from a leftist government and de-platforming agenda to silence the right.

He pioneered the efficient electric battery and grew Tesla charging stations. Going forward, only Democrat Graham Platner will get more battery charges.

All you need to know about private enterprise versus the government is this example. Musk launched a spaceship to rescue two U.S. astronauts NASA had trapped on the International Space Station. He went up and saved their lives. The left hates it. An Obama-appointed judge likely ruled that he had to return the astronauts to space.

Because of my investment career, I have known of Elon Musk for decades. I knew of him back when he did not have hair. Like Henry Ford and Stephen Jobs, he is a generational talent. To vilify and take from him hurts our country immeasurably.

He is on the cutting edge of AI as well. Musk posted a video of black-and-white Optimus robots tap-dancing. He showed he has a wry sense of humor when the white robot was a better tap dancer than the black one.

His Tesla drives itself, which is good for me because I drive fast and crazy. One time, the lady on my car’s Waze GPS asked me to pull over and let her out.

Musk also funded TSA workers’ pay when Democrats shut them down. In keeping with the light-heartedness, I suggested the workers be required to take off their belts and shoes at the bank in order to cash his checks.

The left calls Musk a “Nazi.” Hitler created a car for the masses (Volkswagen), had millions of fervent followers, and oversaw a rocket program. So yeah, maybe.

The left loved Musk when he was a Democrat. He met Trump, and they bonded over their common enemy, Super Cuts. Musk pioneered the magnificent Tesla car. Now Democrats hate anyone who is not one of them, like actress Sydney Sweeney. For those two to be called Nazis by the left is because they both have a nice set of headlights.

Even the women of The View wanted him deported. To return to the US, he’d have to track down that guy who made Obama’s birth certificate. (RELATED: Vance Crosses Into Enemy Territory On ‘The View’)

Aside from creating jobs and millionaires and saving free speech in America with his Twitter (now X), Musk gave of his time to head up DOGE (the Department of Government Efficiency).

There were protests by the left about cutting fat and fraud in government. I would have participated in the one here, but I had to go to the bank and cash my dog’s Social Security check.

For his efforts, the left burned Teslas. I did notice one common theme among the lefties who set Teslas on fire. Their cars had “Co-Exist” bumper stickers.

We need great businesspeople like Musk, those who create leading-edge companies that help all of us. And we need those like Musk who know government has to be right-sized and efficient, and who can make cuts in fraudulent spending. To him, it is simple: it’s not rocket science!
