The 86-year-old Pelosi has spent 40 years in Congress, building an incredible stock portfolio while leading the Democratic Party, and will finally retire in January. Her next project will be a fake “bipartisan” academic center at the University of California, Berkeley, aptly named the Nancy Pelosi Institute, where students and future civic “leaders” will be brainwashed beginning in January 2027. “I think all of us in public service who have an opportunity to do so want to use our experience to train leaders for the future,” Pelosi told CNN.

“I viewed this as a liberation for me from the political, not politics, but partisanship. Because you’re going to an academic institution. It’s about what our founders had in mind with our Constitution, and it’s a beautiful story to tell,” she said.

Several professors and administrators approached Pelosi with the idea, leaving her “dazzled,” before she agreed to fundraise $25 million for the project, according to CNN.

“I loved it because they talked about human rights in the U.S. and in the world, talking about and addressing the challenges to our democracy, talking about challenges of the climate and economic income inequity,” Pelosi said.

The former speaker of the House said the institute will also display awards she received, bills she helped pass into law and some “personal effects” to make it “fun and interesting to get people there.”

In other words, a monument to her ego.

Everyone in politics, media and academia knows these high-profile “institutes” are giant cash cows. Wealthy people donate to the institute or the school, and then UC Berkeley administrators line their pockets and create more fake university jobs, leading to higher tuition costs for students.

It’s also good PR. Pelosi herself is famous, but she also knows a lot of famous people and Democratic donors. It’s not really about teaching kids anything useful; it’s about the networking benefits it brings the school.

And no one actually believes the Nancy Pelosi Institute will solve America’s biggest challenges. A bunch of rich Democratic donors and credulous college kids sitting around “talking about challenges,” patting themselves on the back as they pretend to make a difference? That’s what we call a circle j*rk.
