‘World’s Healthiest Man’ Claims He Cloned Himself ‘As A New Born’

Bryan Johnson, a tech millionaire who has spent large sums of money in pursuit of living forever, posted on X that he cloned himself “as a newborn.”

His “baby-bryan” currently resides in a petri dish, a container used by biologists to culture microorganisms. Johnson believes the “clone” can provide several valuable uses. He listed several in his post: become his own “blood boy,” test therapies on the clone, grow organs for transplantation, develop new treatments, and inject young cells.

Johnson used ideas similar to those developed by the 2012 Nobel Prize winners John B. Gurdon and Shinya Yamanaka to essentially de-age his cells back to a stem-cell state, or something very similar to their embryonic state, according to the tech millionaire.

“This may be scary to some people … a dystopian future. But for others, they will see it as the inevitable future of health,” Johnson said in his post.

Earlier this month, Johnson was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease. The diagnosis caused him to pursue new methods of extending his life. Johnson said in the post that the diagnosis was “one of the best things that has happened to me in a long time.”

Johnson sold tech startup Braintree to PayPal for $800 million, and has since dedicated his life to living forever.
