Former Cowboys Star Tony Romo Arrested For OWI In Milwaukee

Police arrested former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on Thursday night in Milwaukee for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Romo’s vehicle was stopped as he traveled southbound on 1-43 on a high-rise bridge, according to police. An arrest detention report stated that the football star failed field sobriety tests, FOX6 News reported. The outlet noted this was Romo’s first offense. A first-offense OWI is typically a civil offense in Wisconsin, not a criminal charge, meaning Romo will likely have to pay a citation between $150 and $300.

Romo attended Burlington High School in Burlington, Wisconsin, where he was a three-sport athlete playing football, basketball and golf.
