‘Who The F*ck Do You Think You Were?’: GOP Senator Goes Nuclear On Fauci

Republican Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno dropped an f-bomb on Dr. Anthony Fauci while trying to get the doctor to consider how his pandemic-era restrictions hurt Americans during a Senate hearing Wednesday.

Following Fauci’s uncooperative testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Moreno used his allotted time to berate the doctor for how his proposed policies hurt members of his constituency. “There was a mom in Ohio during the depth of the coronavirus pandemic who decided to go to the football game for her son,” Moreno said, referring to the story of a mother who was tased and arrested for not wearing a mask.

The mother was also charged with criminal trespass, resisting arrest and obstructing official business after not following what Moreno described as the “stupid” mask policy, despite the mother and her family being outside and distanced from those she was not living with.

“Those policies were put in place because you had moronic politicians who listened to the words of a megalomaniac who was more interested in having met a Kardashian than the suffering of the American people, and that is you,” Moreno said. “Your advice to communities like that, to idiotic politicians who enforced those rules, arrested that mom for watching a football game with her family outside.”

Moreno said hearing this story on the news motivated him to run for the Senate.

“Here I am, sitting in front of you six years later saying, who the f*ck do you think you were for doing that?” the senator said, adding that it was a “total disgrace” what Fauci did to the country.

Moreno added that he hopes voters make the Democrats who supported Fauci feel it come the election.

“There is no defense of what you did,” Moreno said. “You may have had a 50-plus-year legacy of public service, but it ends in total and complete disgrace.”

Moreno then turned the time over to Fauci, asking him if he had the “dignity” to say he was sorry for the harm he had caused.

“On advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution,” Fauci said, repeating the line he had used throughout the hearing.

Moreno then asked Fauci whether he would apologize to members of the military who were discharged after refusing to take the vaccine, Americans who lost their businesses based on policy recommendations, mothers who had to “force their infant children” to wear masks, and the family members of those who died after following guidance to take the vaccine and every booster shot.

In each instance, Fauci pleaded the Fifth.

“I hope that one way or another, somewhere, some time, you answer for your crimes,” Moreno concluded.
