The Times Magazine editor Willy Staley spoke with O’Mara and even tried his diet for a week. O’Mara also informed the writer that when you eat in accordance with his dietary rules, you no longer need to use toilet paper.
“Animals in the wild have no residual stool on their anus,” O’Mara explained to the outlet. What happens to bathroom visits when you eat in accordance with the steak-sauerkraut diet: they become “odorless, wipe-free, over in three seconds and ‘nearly orgasmic,’” O’Mara said, according to the interview.
“I could have a bowel movement behind a sheet at a dinner party in the corner of the room,” the doctor said, “and nobody would know.”
The diet mainly consists of fermented foods, steak, and occasional seafood.
O’Mara’s program has been popular among Trump’s cabinet members, including Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) pioneer Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Department of Commerce Sec. Howard Lutnick, Vice President JD Vance and Sean Duffy, The Wall Street Journal reported in June.
Early on in the interview, O’Mara showed the editor two liquids that were the color of radiator fluid, the interview reads.

O’Mara said one was Mountain Dew, the other was urine.
“The strong implication was that it was his [urine],” Staley said. (RELATED: New York Times Editorial Board Finally Admits It Was Wrong About Weed)
Such colored urine is a good thing, according to O’Mara.
The program is also said to reduce waistlines by cutting body fat.
Staley took on the diet for a week. “He wanted me eating fermented beets, carrots and radishes; Roquefort and Parmesan; yogurt, kefir and kvass,” the article read.
While Staley admittedly gave up on the diet after a week or so, the interview noted benefits.
“It turns out a breakfast of ground beef with a pile of kimchi and a fried egg is, frankly, invigorating,” Staley wrote.
