Grove Collective co-founder Walker Jones spoke with the “Assorted Crackers” podcast and said that the FBI searched the Manning Center football offices after Kiffin decided to exit for the Tigers, which came after he led the Rebels to an 11-1 regular season record and their first berth in the College Football Playoff. “We actually had the FBI come through and walk the building for bugs and for everything,” said Jones, ESPN reported Aug. 24. “We knew kind of what was in Baton Rouge, and we knew how they operated. I remember getting on my knees and looking underneath the desk, like checking for, ‘Is there some sort of bug in my office?’”

When questioned about why he was searching under his desk, Jones said, “Trust me, you don’t know this guy [Kiffin] like I do.”
