Assistant Secretary of State for Global Public Affairs Dylan Johnson alleged Wednesday that leftist social media influencer Brian Krassenstein deleted an X post claiming to have donated to Autistici/Inventati (A/I).

The State Department designated A/I as a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist” (SDGT) organization on Wedensday, citing the its work helping far-left extremists evade the law.

Johnson included a screenshot of the alleged deleted post, which read, “Donated thanks.” The Daily Caller was not able to verify whether the screenshot was genuine, and Johnson did not provide the context for Krassenstein’s alleged post.

“Why did [Krassenstein] tweet (and then delete) that he donated to a designated terrorist organization?”

Johnson also warned his followers that donating money to designated terrorist organizations is a federal crime, drawing attention to another X post in which Krassenstein urged his followers to donate to A/I. “[M]aybe talk to a lawyer before listening to this moron,” Johnson wrote.

Donating to terrorist organizations is prohibited under 50 U.S.C. §§ 1701–1706 and is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $1 million. (RELATED: SCOOP: How Trump Admin Is Taking Leftist Terrorism Crackdown Worldwide)

Krassenstein claimed in a reply to Johnson that he did not donate to them, but would “as soon as the designation is removed,” adding that he believes “it will be.” He also encouraged his followers to donate to the group in an X reply to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, before deleting the post and directing his followers to wait until the designation is removed “and then donate double.”

Rubio announced the designation Wednesday in an X post. “Far-left terrorism poses a profound threat to the United States and the broader West,” he wrote.

“There will be no refuge for violent extremists who wage war on our civilization and plot to undermine law and order, destroy critical infrastructure, assault political opponents, or conspire to conceal their crimes from authorities,” Rubio added.

The State Department did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
