Earlier in August, Jones and her husband, Jose E. Feliciano, took the reins of the franchise from John Seidler and his family in a $3.9 billion sale. The two were introduced Monday to the San Diego press, and as you’re about to see, Jones is clearly excited about being the Padres owner.

“We gonna win. We gonna win. We’re going to win, win it all,” yelled Jones while throwing up her arms in the process. “We hope it’s sooner rather than later.”

Kamala Harris clearly didn’t know what she was talking about, which is why she felt the need to explain the situation like she was speaking with a five-year-old. That’s exactly what Kwanza Jones did.

Instead of addressing roster depth, front-office strategy, or how she plans to navigate a brutal NL West, she gave San Diego the boardroom pep-talk equivalent of a nursery rhyme. And that’s because — and I’m willing to bet a lot of money on this — she doesn’t know a damn thing about baseball.
