Lionel Richie Reportedly In Intensive Care Following Weekend Concert

Legendary singer Lionel Richie is reportedly in intensive care in a St. Louis hospital.

Sources close to the situation said Richie checked himself into a local hospital after his performance at The Muny Forest Park Saturday night, according to TMZ.

The outlet reported that he is having tests run and doctors are looking into the possibility that the famous singer suffered from dehydration.

Those close to the situation told TMZ they hope the famous singer will be discharged Tuesday, but stopped short of providing details about his exact medical condition.

Witnesses reported that Richie seemed to be struggling toward the end of his performance, and said that he requested a chair to sit on during the performance of his final song of the night, his epic hit, “All Night Long.” (RELATED: Paramedics Reportedly Rushed Lionel Richie To Hospital After Mid-Concert Health Scare)

Richie also suffered from apparent dizziness while on-stage for a June performance in St. Paul, Minnesota, and was rushed to the hospital at that time as well.

It’s unclear if his ailments persisted, or if the two health-related incidents stemmed from different factors.
