Gal Gadot Reportedly Broke Both Feet While Filming Movie

Gal Gadot said she broke her feet while filming “The Runner,” and required time to heal from her injuries.

The famous actress told People that the grueling role left her “on crutches” at the end of filming, in an interview published on Aug. 28.

Gadot takes on the role of a high-powered London defense attorney whose son is taken while she is on her morning jog and admitted that despite using an Olympic trainer to perfect her running technique, she ultimately ended up injured.

“I finished the film on crutches,” Gadot told People.

“There was only so much [I could do]. At one point I broke my feet, and that was it.”

The famous actress continued, “Afterwards I needed to recover and all of that.”

Gadot recalled her experience on-set by saying that she worked closely with the trainer to learn how to “run the right way,” to “stop thinking about it,” and to learn the “skill as a second nature,” according to People.

The film includes several scenes in which Gadot runs through neighborhoods, on paved roads, railway tracks, and other locations while taking commands from a caller and trying to find her abducted son.

“It’s one of those things that you prep and prep and prep, but you never know how we’re going to do that,” Gadot said.

“Neither of us have ever filmed anything like this. As much as I did many action films in my career, I’ve never done one where I’m running every day, the entire day … “

The actress continued, “So it took a lot of trial and error and adjusting, and we did it. And I’m so excited to finally share this film with everybody.” (RELATED: Lionel Richie Reportedly In Intensive Care Following Weekend Concert)

Gadot admitted that after months of repetitive running, she was ready to call it quits. “The last day I was ready to finish. I mean, crutches are a nice accessory, but not for me,” she said.

The “Wonder Woman” star told the outlet that after a much-needed “break,” she feels much better.

“The Runner” is slated to premiere Sept. 2 on Prime Video.
