The show’s creators revealed their new name in a cheeky post shared on social media on Tuesday.
“Following their Emmy win for Outstanding Animated Program, ‘South Park’ is making a big change.”
“Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA,” they wrote.

Show writers Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s tongue-in-cheek rebrand for the upcoming 29th season mocks Trump’s push to replace geographic names with “America,” including the Gulf of Mexico becoming the “Gulf of America” and Lake Ontario being renamed “Lake America.”
Their social media post went on to say, “We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount — a Skydance Capitulation.”
