Orlando Bloom Sparks Backlash With Remarks About Sibling Lesbian Sex Scene
Fans lashed out against Orlando Bloom after his comments about a lesbian sex scene involving Rooney and Kate Mara.

Speaking at the San Sebastián Film Festival Sept. 18, Bloom commented on a threesome scene involving the Mara sisters in the upcoming film “Bucking Fastard,” sparking a flurry of reactions on social media.
Bloom said there is “such simplicity to the characters and [their] carnal desires, but also an innocence to the sisters,” according to Variety.

Bloom continued, “My character, the Bucking Fastard, is sensitive too. And he’s quite quickly out of his depth in some ways. It was a very sincere sort of moment that was created.”
Director Werner Herzog added his voice to the conversation.
“There are moments when a director has to step back,” he said.
“In the love scene, I said to Orlando: ‘You are in bed, and you have two women in your arms. How you deal with it, I cannot give instructions.’ It is beautiful because it has such charm and depth.”
Herzog went on to say that Bloom “left behind what he is famous for: the heartthrob for the teenies,” according to Variety.

Fans were far less impressed by the depiction of the scene.
“Ewww… this is appalling. What work should I definitely NOT look out for so I don’t watch this filth?” one person wrote on Reddit.
“Can we just agree to leave carnal desire and innocent sisters out of the same sentence. Him talking about incest like it’s poetic is gross,” another person wrote.
An appalled fan took to social media to say, “What the fuck is happening … why would the Maras agree to this?”

Bloom plays the lead character in the film, and is characterized as a charming man who has a way with words. His character becomes romantically involved with both sisters, who are intimately close to one another. (RELATED: Looksmaxxer Clavicular Stretches His Manhood With Weights)
Herzog recalled the advice he gave to Bloom, at one point saying that he had to step into a new arena, play different parts, and even requested that the actor grow a beard to appear more “manly” for the part.
