Andrew Shue, who was previously married to Amy Robach, and Marilee Fiebig, former wife of T.J. Holmes, were left blindsided when ABC exposed their affair and fired the co-hosts from the network. Shue, an actor, and Fiebig, an attorney, became romantically involved after their former spouses were fired, according to multiple reports.
People announced their engagement Oct. 21.
“I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending,” Shue told the publication.
Shue said it was a process to come to terms with his divorce from Robach.
“I had to accept my own part in marriage not working out for me,” he told People.

Addressing the unusual circumstances behind his relationship with Fiebig, he said, “This just happened to be our way of getting to know each other and being able to share ourselves with each other in a time where we both needed a friend.”
“We’re very grateful and hopeful,” he said, according to People.
Shue and Fiebig became friends after facing their spouses’ very public and explosive affair. They grew closer to one another and, in a twist of fate, fell in love and formed a bond of their own. They dated for more than three years before Shue popped the question in the spring of 2026. (RELATED: ‘Full House’ Star Jodie Sweetin Says Car Window Was Shot Out In Drive-By Shooting With Bob Saget)
