Legendary R&B singer Peabo Bryson, the iconic voice behind \u201cBeauty and the Beast\u201d and Aladdin\u2019s \u201cA Whole New World died after suffering a stroke at the age of 75.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith broken hearts and profound sadness, the family of two-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and balladeer, Peabo Bryson, announces his passing,\u201d his loved ones said in a statement issued to TMZ.<\/p>\n

Bryson died Tuesday at pm, \u201csurrounded by the love of his family and those closest to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryson\u2019s 1991 duet of \u201cBeauty and the Beast\u201d with Celine Dion became a beloved hit with audiences of all ages, evolving into one of the most iconic songs ever associated with an animated film.<\/p>\n

He teamed with Regina Belle a year later for \u201cA Whole New World\u201d from the \u201cAladdin\u201d soundtrack. The song soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making history as the first track from an animated movie to top the chart.<\/p>\n

Bryson\u2019s sweet melodies and signature sounds included hits \u201cTonight, I Celebrate My Love,\u201d and \u201cIf Ever You\u2019re in My Arms Again.\u201d<\/p>\n
