An NBC reporter abruptly pulled her microphone away from a supporter of Republican Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt after he started to discuss in detail what he saw in the city.<\/p>\n

During the network\u2019s coverage of Tuesday\u2019s primary elections, NBC\u2019s Liz Kreutz interviewed a group of Pratt supporters about the former reality star possibly making it to the November runoff and asked what about his campaign was resonating with them. When one man mentioned Pratt not wanting \u201chuman feces to be a part of your life,\u201d and not wanting homeless children outside, she thanked him and ended the interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you,\u201d Kreutz told the man, prompting him to shout that the reporter \u201cran away.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Pratt supporter then appeared to talk about Los Angeles\u2019 \u201chomeless people outside the elementary schools having sex\u201d before the NBC correspondent cut him off.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate you,\u201d Kreutz said, walking away. \u201cWe talked a lot about the homelessness.\u201d<\/p>\n

The man then briefly took the reporter\u2019s microphone saying, \u201cWe appreciate you, ma\u2019am.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHallie, I will say they\u2019re taking a few shots, they\u2019re feeling pretty good out here,\u201d she told NBC\u2019s Hallie Jackson who was in the studio.<\/p>\n

\u201cMargaritas are flowing,\u201d Jackson quipped.<\/p>\n

With 60% of the vote counted as of Wednesday evening, Pratt sat in a comfortable second place just four percentage points behind incumbent Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and eight ahead of socialist Democratic Los Angeles City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, according to the Associated Press. Although the AP has yet to make the call, the reality star is in strong position to advance to a November runoff with Bass.<\/p>\n

Pratt, who is known for his time on \u201cThe Hills,\u201d is endorsed by President Donald Trump. He has built his campaign on combatting Los Angeles\u2019 homelessness epidemic, as well as addressing crime, fire preparedness and business costs in Los Angeles. His home burnt down during the Palisades fire in January 2025 while Bass was serving as mayor. During an early May debate, Pratt was the only Los Angeles mayoral candidate to give astraightanswer of \u201cno\u201d regarding whether illegal aliens and non-citizens should vote in U.S. elections.<\/p>\n
