After Jacobs asked Rubio to state who won the 2020 presidential election, Rubio reminded Jacobs, \u201cThis is a foreign affairs committee.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, great. You can\u2019t answer the question,\u201d Jacobs said, raising her voice as Rubio attempted to talk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jacobs persisted in her attempts to interrupt Rubio as he tried to explain that, as secretary of state, he avoids commenting on domestic political issues. <\/span>(RELATED: Everything Is Coming Up Marco Rubio)<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Secretary, it seems like you have an issue admitting facts,\u201d Jacobs asserted. \u201cYou can\u2019t say that the president lost the 2020 election, just like you won\u2019t admit President Trump is losing this reckless war of choice, and just like you couldn\u2019t admit that the shoes the president bought you were too big.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Jacobs continued her rant. By the time she finished, Rubio looked confused.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what shoes she\u2019s talking about. What is she talking about?\u201d he asked.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Jacobs was likely referring to a photo of Rubio wearing oversized dress shoes. Leftists breathlessly <\/span>mined<\/span> the photo for psychological insight into Trump and Rubio.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rubio continued: \u201cI don\u2019t know about the shoes. [Trump] gave me some Florsheim shoes, they\u2019re actually pretty good, they fit fine, I don\u2019t know what she\u2019s talking about, maybe that\u2019s what she\u2019s referring to.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Jacobs interjected: \u201cYour shoes look very nice today, Mr. Secretary.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHow can you see them? They\u2019re way down here,\u201d said Rubio. \u201cWe\u2019re talking about shoes. Are you guys kidding me? I mean, is this the Foreign Affairs Committee or is this a circus? What is this?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Rubio was supposed to <\/span>testify<\/span> before the House Foreign Affairs Committee regarding President Donald Trump\u2019s foreign policy agenda amid the Iran conflict. Jacobs\u2019 snark is grating. She conducts herself with open and unclever rudeness, probably because she confuses an aggressive lack of manners for strength.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conversely, Rubio remains fairly calm, shrugging off Jacobs\u2019 dig at his shoes with a joke. The secretary of state does appear bothered by the evident lack of seriousness in the House. As are most onlookers, I imagine. <\/span><\/p>\n
