Alleged first-person footage shows a black man assaulting a white man for being on \u201cjury selection\u201d for the Karmelo Anthony case, despite being 1,000 miles away from the courthouse where the trial took place.<\/p>\n

The confrontation appears to have taken place in Jacksonville, Florida. The Karmelo Anthony trial took place in Collin County, Texas. It is unclear in what way the alleged assailant saw the victim to be involved in the case, given the geographic discrepancy.<\/p>\n

In the video circulating on social media, a black man riding a bike approaches a bus stop. The black man, who is filming the video, gets off his bike and approaches a white man sitting on the ground. The man holding the camera asks, \u201cHey, weren\u2019t you on jury selection?\u201d before punching the other in the face. A woman standing nearby then gets between them and yells, \u201cNo, no, he wasn\u2019t, seriously!\u201d The man who was punched exclaims in pain and is yelling in the background.<\/p>\n

The black man then gets back on his bike, continuing, \u201cYes, he was on jury selection.\u201d The woman then tells the assailant, \u201cHe\u2019s a vet dude, he\u2019s a vet, was never on jury selection.\u201d The black man then declares, \u201cYou gonna die.\u201d The victim then yells, \u201cGet your f**k a** home.\u201d The black man then begins riding away on his bike, while continuing to claim the victim was involved in \u201cjury selection.\u201d<\/p>\n

The attacker continues yelling, stating, \u201cNot for Anthony, not for Karmelo Anthony?\u201d The shouting between the parties continues. The assailant ends the video by saying, \u201cOh my b-, I thought you was on jury selection for Karmelo Anthony.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office told the Daily Caller that they are \u201caware of the incident,\u201d and that it is under active investigation. The Sheriff\u2019s Office is working to identify all involved parties. As it is an active investigation, they could not provide any more details at this time.<\/p>\n

The attack comes on the heels of Karmelo Anthony being sentenced to 35 years in prison for the murder of Austin Metcalf. Anthony was found guilty, with proponents of the convicted murderer claiming the jury selection process was racist. The final jury was composed of white, asian, and Hispanic members. There have been several protests and riots in the aftermath of the verdict.<\/p>\n
