James Barker, executive producer of the hit reality show \u201cLove Island USA,\u201d reportedly died while the series was filming in Fiji.<\/p>\n

The network behind the show confirmed his passing to TMZ in a statement published June 15.<\/p>\n

\u201cITV America and Peacock will honor in Tuesday\u2019s episode of Love Island USA series Executive Producer James Barker, who passed away last week in Fiji after suffering an unexpected medical emergency,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n

They continued by paying tribute to the producer by saying, \u201cJames\u2019 unimaginable loss has been deeply felt across not just the entire Love Island USA production, but throughout all of ITV and Peacock.\u201d<\/p>\n

The circumstances behind his death and his official cause of death were not disclosed, according to TMZ<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The statement issued by the networks continued, \u201cHe was a beloved and greatly valued member of our collective family whose kindness, talent and dedication left an indelible mark on all of us and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe extend our heartfelt condolences to James\u2019 partner, family, friends and colleagues,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Barker first joined the \u201cLove Island USA\u201d team in 2020 and worked with the franchise on and off for years before accepting a full-time executive producer role in January 2026, according to his LinkedIn profile.<\/p>\n

He has producer credits on popular shows, \u201cCounting Cars, \u201d \u201cForged in Fire\u201d and \u201cPawn Stars,\u201d as well a \u201cQueer Eye\u201d and \u201cLove Island Games,\u201d according to People. (RELATED: \u2018ALF\u2019 Star Anne Schedeen Dead At 77)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Barker also lent his talents to shows for Scout Productions, Sharp Entertainment, and Kinetic Content over the course of his career.<\/p>\n
