It would make the lives of law-abiding citizens a little worse, as do so many ideas proffered by California politicians.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>As Noah Rothman of National Review <\/span><span>notes<\/span><span>, \u201c<\/span><span>In the last 20 years, most devastating wildfires in the Golden State have been attributed to lightning strikes that consume vast areas of poorly managed forest. Second to lightning strikes are fires sparked by faulty power lines and transformers \u2014 fires that achieved their scale as a result of the state\u2019s poor forestry management.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Rothman points out that the Palisades fire that burned down Pratt\u2019s home in January 2025 was allegedly set by an \u201cembittered anti-capitalist vigilante who was \u2018angry at the world, particularly the rich,\u2019 and who admired Luigi Mangione, the accused murderer of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.\u201d <\/span><b>(RELATED: Democrat LA Mayor\u2019s Far-Left Opponent Votes Against Cleaning Out Homeless Camps)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Pratt\u2019s plan to clean up Los Angeles is probably a more effective means of preventing civilian-sparked fires.
