A YouTube <\/span><span>channel<\/span><span> bearing Navarrette\u2019s name has popped up, which features four videos of the actress playing survival horror game \u201cOutlast\u201d and action-adventure game \u201cThe Last of Us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_2 --> <\/p>\n<p><span>Old clips of the actress <\/span><span>playing<\/span><span> \u201cCall of Duty\u201d on Twitch (quite skillfully, according to commenters) have gone viral on X.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Navarette <\/span><span>told<\/span><span> GQ she built her \u201cown PC during COVID,\u201d adding it \u201c<\/span><span>was really fun to start to get into PC games.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_3 --> <\/p>\n<p><span>She continued: \u201cIt really just took off with me loving watching YouTubers growing up, like Markiplier. So for me, it was like, <\/span><i><span>Oh, why not?<\/span><\/i><span> If I\u2019m not working on a show and I love playing video games by myself and I love playing with friends, then why not stream? It became a lot of fun.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Now, Navarrette is poised to become a Hollywood darling. The \u201cObsession\u201d actress is set to <\/span><span>star<\/span><span> in singer Sombr\u2019s music video for \u201cmy body isn\u2019t ready,\u201d dropping Thursday. Choi <\/span><span>claims<\/span><span> she agreed to a rate of $300 per day, coming out to a little over $6700 after taxes. Choi, who reportedly had one credit prior to \u201cObsession,\u201d whined: \u201c<\/span><span>I kick myself every single day for not flipping this production.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A wiser woman, such as Navarrette, would leverage the runaway success of \u201cObsession\u201d to launch a lucrative career. Unverified reports <\/span><span>suggest<\/span><span> Navarrette was paid about $20,000 for the role \u2014 hardly a bad rate for a month of work for a normal person, but far below the dazzling sums earned by Hollywood stars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cObsession\u201d director Curry Barker addressed Choi\u2019s complaints in an <\/span><span>interview<\/span><span> with The Hollywood Reporter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Barker said he has \u201c<\/span><span>nothing but respect for the art department, and the work they did was extraordinary,\u201d adding that the department \u201cdeserve[s] to be recognized.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Barker continued: \u201cThis movie was made for so little money that it\u2019s typical that the only people who [directly] benefit from its financial success are the people who took on some sort of risk. But what I hope is that every person that worked really hard on this film will see opportunities to catapult their careers in ways that can be very financially fruitful for them \u2014 like what\u2019s happening for me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>That is precisely what Navarrette appears to be doing. For his part, Barker reportedly <\/span><span>closed<\/span><span> an eight-figure deal with Blumhouse Atomic Monster and Universal for an upcoming original horror movie.
