Mormon TiK Tok influencer and reality TV star Layla Taylor came out as bisexual in a podcast episode released Monday.<\/p>\n

Taylor, a star of the reality TV show \u201cThe Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,\u201d announced on the \u201cOn Purpose with Jay Shetty\u201d podcast that she is bisexual and dating a woman.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just something that I honestly didn\u2019t really know how to formally address for a long period of my life,\u201d Layla said. \u201cI\u2019m gay and I\u2019m bi and date women and men.\u201d<\/p>\n

A large portion of Taylor\u2019s screen time on the show is dedicated to her struggles growing up as a black woman in a mostly white area.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Taylor converted to Mormonism at age 16. She later married and had two children with Clayton Wessel before divorcing him in 2025. She told Shetty that she always had these feelings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would just kind of underplay it for a long period of my life,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cI just feel like I\u2019m finally in the era that I\u2019m over not being truly myself, and I\u2019m over not showing every part of Layla to the world. I\u2019m very proud now to be out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor cited the people in her community as a reason she came out.<\/p>\n

\u201cQueer representation around me \u2014 I could look at it and be like, \u2018OK, this is normal.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is a reality TV show based around a group of mormon mom Tik Tok influencers known as MomTok. The show is driven by several women allegedly stepping out on their husbands with other men and husbands.<\/p>\n

None of her co-stars reportedly knew about her sexual identity before the podcast aired.<\/p>\n
