This comes after a Senate Ethics Committee misconduct complaint against Gallego was dismissed Monday. <strong>(RELATED: Trump Admin Vows Birth Tourism Crackdown After Birthright Citizenship Ruling)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gallego used funds from a political action committee, or PAC, for personal leisure, including family trips to Miami, Chicago, Disneyland and Disney World, Politico previously reported, citing campaign finance documents and an individual familiar with the lawmaker\u2019s spending.<\/p>\n<p>Republican Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna alleged Gallego was responsible for sexual misconduct and campaign finance violations in April, leading to months of investigation before the committee concluded there was no evidence to support Luna\u2019s claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s be clear. The nearly $1.8 billion settlement fund was set up for individuals targeted by Biden-era weaponization of the government, but was halted by Congress in early June.<\/p>\n<p> <!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_3 --> <\/p>\n<p>\u201c[President] Trump is targeting Senator Gallego while the most weaponized Department of Justice in history is turning a blind eye to Trump\u2019s unprecedented corruption,\u201d a Gallego spokesperson told Axios, referring to the timing of the probe as \u201cthe least surprising news of the week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, Gallego also used a PAC organized by himself and former Democratic California Rep.
