Former NFL star Marcellus Wiley issued a lengthy statement Tuesday on X after his wife accused him of rape and filed for divorce.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love my children with everything I am. My highest priority has always been protecting them and preserving the relationship they have with both of their parents,\u201d he began.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause of the public allegations made against me by Annemarie, I have been forced to respond with evidence rather than emotion. More importantly, I owe it to my children to truthfully document what they and I have endured.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wiley denied the allegations made against him and pointed a finger at Annemarie, accusing her of lying and claiming she was the reason that their marriage broke down.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cI must address the lies Annemarie has told about me by telling the truth about her and our marriage,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the years, I have compiled videos, photographs, text messages, emails, and other evidence that directly contradicts those baseless claims and provides a factual record of our family and the events leading to this unfortunate divorce.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wiley claimed Annemarie was repeatedly unfaithful, \u201cincluding an affair with her pregnant friend\u2019s husband\u2014serious and damaging parenting failures, a \u2018voodoo spell\u2019 she cursed over my family, as well as fans she claimed \u2018hated her\u2019 from \u2018The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,\u2019 along with many, many other unflattering documented events,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

He told fans that he believed his estranged wife \u201clost her mind\u201d when she was kicked off the reality television series, \u201cThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wiley said he never wanted his family matters to become public.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was willing to endure anything\u2014even hell itself\u2014if it meant being with my children every single day. I am their hero, and now I am fighting to make sure the positive and real image they know of me is the one that endures,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Wiley filed for divorce, claiming \u201cMarcellus has subjected her to a \u2018continuing and escalating pattern of physical violence, sexual abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, financial control and intimidation,\u201d according to TMZ<\/p>\n

Annemarie\u2019s allegations surfaced just months after four women accused Marcellus of sexual assault in April, including a former ESPN production assistant, according to Rolling Stone. Wiley asserted his innocence in his July 7 statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am prepared to address these allegations and related matters through the legal process and with evidence. My focus remains on my children, my integrity, and the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n
