Chadwick Boseman\u2019s family members filed legal documents July 17 to remove the late actor\u2019s widow as administrator of his estate.<\/p>

The \u201cBlack Panther\u201d star died Aug. 28, 2020, at the age of 43, following a private battle with colon cancer, but did not leave behind a will. Six full years after his death, his estate remains the center of a bitter battle <\/p>

Boseman\u2019s two older brothers, Derrick and Kevin, filed a lawsuit on behalf of their parents, Leroy and Carolyn, against his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, requesting that she be ordered to distribute assets to Leroy and Carolyn, according to Page Six. <\/p>

Ledward inherited 50% of Boseman\u2019s estate, and was expected to distribute the other half to Leroy and Carolyn in equal shares. The documents allege that Ledward failed to distribute over $3.8 million in assets and cash as ordered by a court back in 2022.<\/p>

\u201cNearly four years later, [Taylor] has still not distributed the estate,\u201d the documents read, according to Page Six.<\/p>

\u201cInstead, [Taylor] continues to exert unilateral control over [Chadwick\u2019s] estate, denying [Chadwick\u2019s] family long overdue closure or participation in decision-making regarding matters affecting Leroy and Carolyn\u2019s interests in [Chadwick\u2019s] estate.\u201d<\/p>

Chadwick\u2019s brothers alleged that she \u201cfailed to fully account\u201d for Boseman\u2019s assets, including \u201croyalties and residuals, image and intellectual property rights, real property, a previously undisclosed bank account, and other personal property,\u201d according to Page Six.<\/p>

They claimed Ledward declared $241,000 in an IRA, $3.3 million in stock for Chadwick Boseman, Inc. and $151,000 in cash, when reporting his assets, which was deemed by the court as a \u201ctrue and correct\u201d accounting in 2022, but they claim she \u201cfailed to officially account for \u2026 numerous residual payments from SAG-AFTRA dating between 2020 and the present.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cThese rights properly belong to [Chadwick\u2019s] heirs,\u201d the documents read, according to Page Six. <\/p>

The late actor\u2019s brothers claimed Ledward \u201cblocked\u201d them from \u201cpursuing lucrative business opportunities that might benefit [Chadwick\u2019s] elderly parents,\u201d according to Page Six.<\/p>
