Horrifying autopsy results revealed famed opera singer Jubilant Sykes endured \u201cat least 73 total wounds\u201d while being stabbed to death, allegedly by his own son. <\/p>

Sixty-eight of those wounds were labeled as \u201csharp force\u201d and five as \u201cblunt force,\u201d according to US Weekly. The report determined that the Grammy-nominated baritone died from \u201cmultiple stab wounds\u201d on December 8, 2025 at age 71. Police arrested his 32-year-old son, Micah.<\/p>

The Los Angeles Medical Examiner determined Sykes died by \u201chomicide\u201d inside his home.<\/p>

The report included details about the talented singer\u2019s final moments.<\/p>

\u201cThe wife was in the shower when she heard the decedent yell out for her to call 9-1-1,\u201d the report reads, according to US Weekly. \u201cWhen she came out of the shower, she saw their adult son standing over [Jubilant] stabbing him with an apparent artifactual sharp edge weapon.\u201d<\/p>

The report indicated that Sykes\u2019 wife, Cecelia, called the Santa Monica Police Department and told them \u201cher son, who has a documented history of mental illness, had stabbed and killed\u201d her husband, according to US Weekly.<\/p>

According to the report, police located \u201ca 10-pound dumbbell containing apparent blood stains\u201d and \u201ca curved knife with the blade measuring approximately 9 inches long and 2 inches wide\u201d next to the singer\u2019s body.<\/p>

Micah remains in custody with no bail. A hearing is scheduled for August 6. <\/p>
