An armed bystander traded gunfire with a rifle-wielding attacker outside an Idaho In-N-Out on Saturday as a rampage unfolded that left at least three people dead and seven hurt, according to the Associated Press (AP).<\/p>\n

Cellphone footage captured by witness Lane Koehn, 34, shows the citizen firing his handgun at the assailant during the chaos in Twin Falls. Koehn, stopped at a nearby traffic light, told the AP he watched a man carrying an AR-style rifle step out of the drive-thru before a second man opened fire on him with a pistol. The shooter squeezed off at least three or four rounds, Koehn said.<\/p>\n

Koehn also saw a wounded In-N-Out worker, bleeding from her chest, being pulled across the parking lot by a coworker. He, the coworker and the armed man stayed beside her until medics arrived. \u201cShe was pretty bad off, but I don\u2019t know. I hope she made it,\u201d Koehn told the AP. Online, users moved quickly to name the armed bystander as Jordan Salinas, a Twin Falls resident, circulating a 2024 social media post in which a man by that name wrote about firearms training. Police have not confirmed the identity of the man in the video or that Salinas was involved.<\/p>\n
