Greetings, Dear Reader,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

As the saying goes \u2026<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

THE OLDER AND BLACKER YOU ARE<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

To be clear, that\u2019s not actually a saying. Or, it wasn\u2019t until some new polling was released in the race for DC mayor.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the center of the race are two DC natives, Kenyan McDuffie, 51, and Janeese Lewis George (JLG), 38.<\/span><\/p>\n

McDuffie was a postal worker to pay his way through school. He graduated from Howard University, then got his JD, and was a trial attorney for Obama\u2019s civil rights division before entering local DC government in 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

JLG was the <\/span>daughter <\/span><\/i>of a postal worker. She also got her JD and served briefly as a juvenile prosecutor in the district before entering local politics.<\/span><\/p>\n

And you\u2019d think that might give her some perspective on crime and punishment, but I hate to dash your spirits on that front, Dear Reader.<\/span><\/p>\n

JLG is yet another self-styled \u201cDemocratic-socialist\u201d who believed at one point DC Metro Police should be defunded in favor of a \u201ccommunity approach,\u201d ie, social workers. She\u2019s also in favor of wealth taxes and government-controlled housing.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know \u2026 this \u2026 again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Compared to JLG, McDuffie is a centrist. He supports beefing up police and installing stricter curfews for juveniles in the city. His approach to housing is more builder- and investor-friendly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He supports cutting \u201cred tape\u201d and pragmatism. She supports \u201cbold, systemic change,\u201d which is a euphemism for historically terrible, top-down socialist impositions.<\/span><\/p>\n

She\u2019s basically a black Zohran Mamdani. She\u2019s also winning for similar reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n

You might recall, if it weren\u2019t for voters <\/span>who turned up in NYC<\/b> in just the past five years, Cuomo would likely have beaten Mamdani.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\"\"\n<\/div>\n

This <\/span>poll shows<\/b> another interesting divide as well: The older and blacker you are, the more you support McDuffie for his stance on policing.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, basically, white girls in Georgetown and goofy think tank interns are about to decide the crime policy fate of longtime residents.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe bottom line: The younger, better educated, and newer you are to D.C., the more likely you are to support Lewis George,\u201d says the write-up accompanying the poll.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBetter educated\u201d lol, give me a break. These kids know nothing and their stupid IR and PoliSci degrees are meaningless.<\/span><\/p>\n

More importantly, many of them will leave the district before they have to face the consequences. Roughly 40-60% of the people in the 18-29 year old bracket \u2013 the one poised to vault JLG into the mayor seat \u2013 won\u2019t be here in four years, according to census trends.<\/span><\/p>\n

White flight + old, black people left holding the bag.<\/span><\/p>\n

How poetic.<\/span><\/p>\n
