And he\u2019s saying, what the f**k?\u201d Buttigieg said during his interview. \u201cAnd I don\u2019t blame him for that.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Buttigieg explained the decision by saying, \u201cThis event was built to kind of celebrate the agreement that had been reached around tailpipe standards. And Tesla, because all they make are EVs, doesn\u2019t even have tailpipes, and so people weren\u2019t really thinking about inviting Tesla.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_2 --> <\/p>\n<p>Host of the podcast Steve Bartlett responded with skepticism as to the reasoning, noting that, \u201cElon publicly broke ranks with the Democrat Party. CNN reported at the time that the United Auto Workers (UAW) union would be present at the event, possibly explaining Tesla\u2019s absence.
