The undisclosed customer will purchase AI computing power for six years while RUM Group builds a Maysville, Georgia, data center. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c[W]e will be required to develop, construct and operate a data center facility and acquire substantial quantities of GPUs and other related equipment and infrastructure,\u201d RUM Group said in a Monday SEC filing that disclosed the deal. \u201cWe do not currently have financing to fund these expenditures, and our obligations under the Commercial Agreement are not subject to any financing condition or contingency.\u201d <strong>(RELATED: Demystifying America\u2019s Chips War With China)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccordingly, we will remain obligated to perform under the Commercial Agreement even if we are unable to obtain the necessary financing when needed on acceptable terms, or at all,\u201d RUM Group clarified in the SEC filing.<\/p>\n<p>The tech company\u2019s customer will receive access to cloud GPU services at the Georgia data center site and the opportunity to buy roughly 51 million shares of RUM Group\u2019s Class A stock at one cent per share, Reuters reported. <\/p>\n<p><!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_2 --> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cRUM Group is excited to share that today, as reported in our Form 8-K the company entered into a GPU services agreement that has a total contract revenue value of $13.7 billion over a six-year term with respect to our data center location in Maysville, Georgia,\u201d a RUM Group spokesman told the Daily Caller News Foundation. \u201cThis marks the largest deal in RUM Group\u2019s history and demonstrates substantial demand for the AI infrastructure capacity we have developed as well as serving as a proof point to our long-term vision as an AI infrastructure and video company advancing our mission to maximize the power of human imagination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say that [this deal] is consistent with other things that have happened in the history of Rumble, best exemplified by the relationship with Tether,\u201d Tom Forte, managing director and senior consumer internet analyst at Maxim Group, told the DCNF.<\/p>\n<p>Tether, a cryptocurrency company, is RUM\u2019s largest shareholder and invested roughly $775 million into RUM, <span>according<\/span>to a Dec. 2024 Tether announcement. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/hometransferguide.com\/?p=4897\">Crypto Industry Raining Millions On Candidates That Back Its Favorite Bill<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTether\u2019s investment in Rumble reflects our shared values of decentralization, independence, transparency, and the fundamental right to free expression,\u201d Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether said, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think [the deal] is a good illustration of two companies that have like-minded views trying to run an open internet and not have an internet that\u2019s beholden to other large mega cap technology companies,\u201d Forte told the DCNF.<\/p>\n<p>Forte said the deal is unusual in its direction as a service provider typically takes a stake in its customer, as Amazon has with <span>Anthropic<\/span> and <span>OpenAI<\/span>. In this case, however, the customer is taking the stake in RUM.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say that \u2026 in order for the company to advance its AI infrastructure efforts \u2026 it seems to be more capital intensive, which is very consistent with what we\u2019re seeing from Amazon,\u201d Forte told the DCNF.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_3 --> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut a $13.7B contract is not the same as $13.7B of funded, profitable revenue,\u201d one X post analyzing the deal read. \u201cThe real investment thesis now comes down to three things: Financing. Execution. Dilution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another X post poked fun at the reported terms of the deal, specifically the fact that the company lacked the infrastructure and capital required for the deal it just made.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[W]e genuinely care about making a positive impact, and we will work hard to remain responsive to local concerns,\u201d RUM said on the Maysville data center project \u2018About\u2019 page.
