The State Department will reportedly work alongside the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to implement the revocations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are coordinating with DHS to identify and revoke the nonimmigrant visas of foreigners who have come to the United States claiming to be short-term visitors, but then file for asylum to stay here permanently,\u201d State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott told the AP. <strong>(RELATED: Mass Deportation \u2026 After The Midterms?)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The AP noted that this would be the largest mass visa revocation in U.S. history and would likely face legal challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/hometransferguide.com\/?p=4949\">Is The Navy\u2019s New \u2018Malice\u2019 Missile Another Example Of The Pentagon Buying Too Many Expensive Toys?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau wrote in a lengthy X post Monday that Americans are \u201cfed up\u201d with fake asylum claims, stating that the system has \u201clong been swamped by frivolous asylum claims,\u201d creating years of lead time for applicants during which foreigners can \u201cotherwise put down roots in our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_2 --> <\/p>\n<p>Landau cited the case of Colombian national Humberto Coral as a prime example of this abuse. Coral came to the United States on a tourist visa in 2015 and applied for asylum just before its expiration, later receiving a work permit from the Obama administration which he renewed for a decade.
