The third tried to run. A deployed Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron aircrew responded with aerial use of force, firing precision sniper rounds at the boat\u2019s engines until it stopped. The suspects leapt into the water and were pulled out alive after the aircrew dropped flotation devices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInterdicting three vessels simultaneously is a testament to the unwavering professionalism, precision, and dedication of our crews,\u201d Cmdr. Nolan Cuevas, the Tahoma\u2019s commanding officer, said in the release. \u201cThis interdiction prevented a significant number of illegal narcotics from reaching America\u2019s shores, and their teamwork underscores the Coast Guard\u2019s mission to protect our nation and saving lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_2 --> <\/p>\n<p>Video posted to the USCG\u2019s X account showed an aircrew member spraying gunfire ahead of the fleeing boat before tossing rescue floats to the men in the water.
