Three women have been found dead in or near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and regional authorities said there\u2019s no evidence of a single alleged culprit in a statement Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Officials have not formally identified the three women, but all were reportedly partially naked, had tatoos and were thought to have been in their early to mid 30s, NewsNation reported. However, a Mexican media report suggested that the third woman was identified as a missing 22-year-old. The women were found within an 11-day period. The Jalisco State Prosecutor\u2019s Office (JSPO) said Wednesday that there were no indications of a \u201cserial aggressor agaisnt women\u201d in the tourist hotspot. Officials had previously said Puerto Vallarta may have a serial killer on the loose, the New York Post reported Monday. Based on the evidence currently available, there are \u201cno objective elements or scientific evidence to establish the existence of a serial aggressor against women in said municipality,\u201d according to the JSPO. The state pointed to different purported causes of death, alleging that one died due to wounds from a sharp object, the other was potentially poisoned and the last appeared to have drowned. Officials said the dead women were discovered May 10, May 15 and May 21.<\/p>\n

The first body was reportedly found close to a ranch on May 10, Mexico News Daily reported May 22. Another body was found at a stop beside a highway to Mismaloya \u2014 south of Puerto Vallarta \u2014 a few days later.<\/p>\n

The woman was reportedly discovered with bruises on her left eyebrow and detectives are probing if she had been assaulted or dropped approximately a half-mile from the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta hotel, the New York Post reported, citing Vallarta Daily.<\/p>\n

The last body was discovered on a dirt road in a Puerto Vallarta neighborhod on the morning of May 21, according to Mexico News Daily. Officials have reportedly investigated the case for similarties to the two prior deaths.<\/p>\n

The third body was reportedly identified as belonging to Elizabeth G., a 22-year-old who had been reported missing in late April, according to El Occidental. The first two women have not been identified in any reports.<\/p>\n

The JSPO warned against uncofirmed reports and noted that the investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n

The Mexican state of Jalisco, where Puerto Vallarta is located, is labeled a place to \u201c[r]econsider travel\u201d by the U.S. State Department \u201cdue to terrorism, crime and kidnapping,\u201d including acts carried out by gangs and cartels. The investigation comes as Jalisco prepares to host four World Cup games this summer in its capital of Guadalajara.<\/p>\n

The Puerto Vallarta city office did not respond to the Daily Caller\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n
