She also prevented the government from continuing the establishment of the fund while litigation is pending.<\/p>\n<p>According to the judge, the order is necessary \u201cto ensure that no funds are irreversibly disbursed from the Anti-Weaponization Fund \u2026 while plaintiffs\u2019 Motion is pending.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Justice (DOJ) created the \u201cAnti-Weaponization Fund\u201d on May 18 \u201cto provide a systematic process to hear and redress claims of others who suffered weaponization and lawfare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_2 --> <\/p>\n<p>Critics allege the DOJ fund is a slush fund that will benefit Trump\u2019s allies, but the fund comes from a history of similar government institutions. While the two actions were announced in conjunction, the Anti-Weaponization Fund is not directly contingent upon Trump\u2019s motion to dismiss his lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe machinery of government should never be weaponized against any American, and it is this Department\u2019s intention to make right the wrongs that were previously done while ensuring this never happens again,\u201d Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in the original press release announcing the fund. \u201cAs part of this settlement, we are setting up a lawful process for victims of lawfare and weaponization to be heard and seek redress.\u201d <strong>(RELATED: ROOKE: Trump\u2019s \u2018Presidential Mercy\u2019 Finds Its First Taker)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/10519169\/dailycaller_incontent_3 --> <\/p>\n<p>The fund will be managed by a five-member commission appointed by the Attorney General.
