Police Leave Nowak Murderer’s Wrists Free As He Cries Racial Abuse
New bodycam footage released Friday exposed shockingly different treatment of Henry Nowak’s murderer by the police.

The video shows Vickrum Digwa, the killer of 18-year-old Henry Nowak, repeatedly lying to British police as they questioned him about the “altercation” that led to Henry’s death.
After murdering Nowak in December, Digwa was jailed for life with a minimum of 21 years in June. He was also sentenced for carrying a knife in public.
Law enforcement did not handcuff Digwa as they questioned him in the video, nor when they later arrested him. The police, however, handcuffed the prostrate and bleeding Nowak in another disturbing bodycam video that sparked protests in England.
The Friday footage showed Digwa telling police he had been “racially attacked.” The police officer assured him, “I know, I know, I know. Okay — I know.”
When Nowak told law enforcement he had “been stabbed” and couldn’t breathe, one officer replied, “I don’t think you have, mate,” and another denied it, saying, “He hasn’t been stabbed.”
Police took nearly eight minutes to discover Nowak’s four stab wounds after they arrived, The Independent reported. (RELATED: Washington State Democrats Find New Way To Defund The Police)
The footage released Friday shows police arriving on the murder scene, where they were immediately lied to by both Digwa and his father. The killer’s father, Moga Singh, told police that “the gentleman that’s on the floor assaulted my son.” Digwa claimed Nowak “barged” into him and was clearly “drunk.”
Judge William Mousley KC reported Nowak had been drinking less than the drink-drive limit.
“He then started escalating the situation. Called me a Paki and all sorts of stuff,” Digwa said, falsely claiming just minutes after the stabbing that Nowak had racially abused him.
“[Nowak] then called me, ‘Oh, you Pakis think you’re […] bad men.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I am a bad man.’ He then started recording me. Obviously, then I pushed him. He then grabbed me, then started grabbing my turban, pulled my hair, started grabbing my hair, punching me, and all this sort of stuff,” Digwa told police.
“So I’m a Sikh,” Digwa explained.
The murderer told police his brother had intervened and stopped the fight. “And that’s when [Nowak] then started stumbling around,” Digwa lied. Digwa’s brother had called the police and told them Vickrum had been “racially” attacked, the BBC reported.
“This isn’t the first time something like this has happened here,” Digwa protested. “We’ve lived here since I’ve been four or five and we’ve had it recently.”

Digwa also told police officers his family had helped Nowak afterward, “We saw that he started bleeding, so my dad just pinned him up against — more like sat him up against the wall, just to see that he’s okay.”
No charges were brought against Vickrum Digwa’s brother for Nowak’s murder, although he also allegedly lied to police. Digwa’s mother, who hid the knife, was found guilty of assisting an offender and will be sentenced July 17. Vickrum, his father, and brother all face a weapons offense charge after over 20 weapons were discovered by police in their home.

Moga Singh (L), the father of Vickrum Digwa who was on June 1 found guilty of killing 18-year-old student Henry Nowak, and Vickrum’s brother Gurpreet Digwa (R) arrive at the Courts of Justice to face charges of possession of offensive weapons, in Southampton, southern England, on June 2, 2026. When an officer asked Digwa, “Do you know how he’s got that wound, then?”, the killer responded, “What wound, sir?”
Digwa told the police the blood “must have been when we punched him. But he just fall over here, so he was climbing all over these bins and stuff like that, and then he […] fell over and landed onto that cart, sir.”
Police appeared to offer no pushback to Digwa’s account, repeatedly saying “okay” as he lied to them. (RELATED: ROOKE: Everything Happening In The UK Is Predictable And Coming For The US)
At one point in the footage, Digwa acted bothered by the police lights and started shielding his eyes. “Sorry, can you turn the flashes off?” he asked the police.
After police responded, “We can’t, man, I’m afraid,” Digwa complained about his swollen eye and asked to move to another part of the yard, which police complied with.
When police told Digwa they were arresting him “on suspicion of attempted murder,” Digwa responded, “What do you mean attempted murder? Why am I getting arrested?”
“Mate, I’ve been racially attacked,” Digwa told the policeman.
The officer said, “You’ve got your side of the story, mate. We don’t know what’s gone on here, okay? So we’ll see if we can just find out, okay?”
“I’m not saying you’ve done anything, mate,” the policeman assured him.
The Hampshire police are under investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct, The Guardian reported.
