A witness to the event said the woman and Diguglielmo got into an argument over a parking spot. Diguglielmo parked his white SUV in such a way that the woman could not park, but he pulled it out of the parking spot not long after. The woman appeared to get out of her car with a gun in one hand and her phone in the other. She briefly talked to the people in the SUV.

Shortly afterward, Diguglielmo approached her. Video footage from a cellphone camera showed Diguglielmo and the woman appearing to argue. The woman kept the gun pointed at him as they argued, and looked to be talking on the phone in her other hand during the entire altercation. Diguglielmo appeared to start walking away but then turned around and started to walk toward her, which is when she shot him. He died shortly after.
Digugliemo’s daughter Amanda told reporters that her dad had moved to Florida three years earlier to be closer to her.
