Javier Rosado Martinez was convicted of raping and murdering Dolores Padilla Marero in Orange County, Florida, and was sentenced to “life in prison without the possibility of parole,” WESH 2 News reported Wednesday.

Bourdon posted to X Wednesday afternoon, saying “just got a life verdict on a death penalty case,” accompanied by a video of U.S. Olympian Figure Skater Alysa Liu mouthing “Let’s f**king go,” to the camera during one of her Olympic performances.

After receiving backlash, Bourdon took to her X to say “it appears I have triggered a lot of men who cannot handle a woman as a defense attorney.”

“Due to the heinous nature of the crime, the state of Florida sought the death penalty in the case,” the state attorney’s office told WESH 2 News. “Following the jury’s recommendation, the court sentenced Rosado Martinez to life in prison without the possibility of parole on the murder conviction.”

Martinez was found guilty of the attack in 2022. He attacked Padilla Marero at the St. Joseph Garden Senior Living Complex after she was returning from celebrating her 93rd birthday. Martinez was dating the victim’s daughter at the time of the crime.

He also received five years for the sexual battery charge, on top of his life sentence for the murder charge.
