Shocking Autopsy Report Reveals Singer’s Grisly Death At Son’s Hands
Horrifying autopsy results revealed famed opera singer Jubilant Sykes endured “at least 73 total wounds” while being stabbed to death, allegedly by his own son.

Sixty-eight of those wounds were labeled as “sharp force” and five as “blunt force,” according to US Weekly. The report determined that the Grammy-nominated baritone died from “multiple stab wounds” on December 8, 2025 at age 71. Police arrested his 32-year-old son, Micah.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner determined Sykes died by “homicide” inside his home.
The report included details about the talented singer’s final moments.
“The wife was in the shower when she heard the decedent yell out for her to call 9-1-1,” the report reads, according to US Weekly. “When she came out of the shower, she saw their adult son standing over [Jubilant] stabbing him with an apparent artifactual sharp edge weapon.”
The report indicated that Sykes’ wife, Cecelia, called the Santa Monica Police Department and told them “her son, who has a documented history of mental illness, had stabbed and killed” her husband, according to US Weekly.
According to the report, police located “a 10-pound dumbbell containing apparent blood stains” and “a curved knife with the blade measuring approximately 9 inches long and 2 inches wide” next to the singer’s body.

Micah remains in custody with no bail. A hearing is scheduled for August 6.
Sykes was a talented signer who performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including New York’s Carnegie Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington and the Barbican Center in London.
