The clip featured awkward dance moves and overly exaggerated lip-syncing that the world could have done without, yet they seemed incredibly proud of themselves. The former Canadian prime minister and his pop-star girlfriend were inside a Montreal Home Hardware store when a song by Trudeau’s 18-year-old son Xavier Trudeau began playing.
Trudeau and Perry seized the opportunity to dance around in the plumbing aisle in a tacky video we sadly can’t unsee.

Armed with a plunger and plastic containers, Trudeau started awkwardly bouncing, shuffling, and mouthing along to the track while Perry captured the spectacle on camera. She eventually flipped the lens around and joined the action, stomping and dancing alongside him as the pair transformed an otherwise normal shopping trip into a full-blown cringe showcase.

The video gave desperate-old-parent vibes as the pair failed miserably at trying to be cool.

Trudeau’s dad-dancing was bad enough, and Perry’s overly eager participation was sufficient to throw this spectacle over the edge.
Xavier seemed fine with the weird moment and decided to share the clip on Instagram, then encouraged fans to post their own videos featuring the song.
