“At some point, there will be NFL teams outside the USA,” said Goodell to ex-NFL player Markus Kuhn in the interview. “I have no doubt that this will happen one day.”
Goodell also spoke about the possibility of a Super Bowl being hosted in an international city, saying that if a city has a franchise permanently based there, it could be considered a host site for the championship game.
“There are definitely international cities that could host something like that,” said Goodell. “But we would like to see an NFL team in such a city first.”

My whole thing is: why are we bending over backward to ship America’s game overseas to markets that constantly turn around and dunk on us?
Scroll through YouTube or TikTok for five minutes, and you’ll run into an endless stream of foreign influencers making entire careers out of dissecting how America sucks and blah, blah, blah. They go on about how we’re stupid, we don’t know geography (this one in particular cracks me up), our food is terrible, and tipping culture is the worst thing since “Eight Legged Freaks.”
Quite frankly, to hell with the rest of the world. Keep the NFL in America and only America.
