Fashion Mogul Calls Luigi Mangione A ‘Trendsetter,’ Makes Offer Ahead Of Trial
Fashion designer Marc Jacobs called Luigi Mangione a “trendsetter” and expressed interest in dressing him for his upcoming murder trial.

Jacobs appeared on an episode of Variety’s “Lie Detector Test” and was asked about the slew of celebrities who have previously worn his fashion label at their court appearances. The interviewer asked him about whether he’d consider styling Mangione, to which he replied, “Yes,” before saying, “I think he looks pretty good the way he dresses, actually.”
After the designer admitted that he doesn’t think Mangione requires a fashion makeover, the interviewer said, “This led to Nordstrom stores selling out of their red sweaters. Does this make him a trendsetter?”
Jacobs quickly replied with a single-word answer, “yes.”

She proceeded to show him an image of Gwyneth Paltrow in the courtroom.
Jacobs laughed and admitted he wasn’t bothered by Paltrow’s decision to wear clothes from another designer during her trial.
Mangione is on trial for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Jacobs may not have the opportunity to dress him if Mangione’s legal team succeeds in having his case dismissed.
