‘Set Me Up’: Ex-College Basketball Star Calls Out Coach K In Alarming Videos
Former Duke star Kyle Singler accused famed coach Mike Krzyzewski of ignoring his cries for help in a series of alarming videos he uploaded to Instagram.

Singler recorded the clips late Tuesday, moving through what appeared to be his home.
“Man, Coach K has set me up,” he said at the outset of the first video. “Set me up, man. I have no power. I have no house. I’ve reached out to coach and everybody has turned the other way. I’ve reached out to coach and he has fully dismissed the message.”
“I reached out to Coach K and all he did was sit me on the bench. Thanks, man,” he added later in the video.

“Coach, I need your help, man,” Singler said in his second video. “I’m stuck at my house and I can’t leave, I feel imprisoned.”

He also called out his alma mater: “And you know what? Duke’s all about it. I got Duke begging for my money.”
Singler suited up for Krzyzewski from 2007 through 2011 and finished second on the roster in scoring in all four of those seasons, Larry Brown Sports reported. He played on the 2010 championship team and took Most Outstanding Player honors at that year’s NCAA Tournament, according to the Associated Press (AP). Detroit selected him 33rd overall in 2011, and he walked away from the game in 2019 at age 31.
Singler faced one misdemeanor count of assault and battery in the presence of a child in Haskell County, Oklahoma, last October, the AP reported. Deputies took him into custody five days earlier in Whitefield after someone dialed 911 and said he was pursuing a woman outside a home. Jail records showed his release on $6,000 bond.
Deputy Mitch Dobbs wrote in an arrest affidavit that the shape of fingers appeared on the woman’s face and that her arm carried additional traces.
Singler denied the allegation days after his arrest. “I’m not a bad person,” he told The Oklahoman in an Oct. 29 interview.
