CMA Snubs Morgan Wallen Despite Chart-Topping Success

The world-famous singer was not nominated for Entertainer of the Year or Male Vocalist of the Year despite selling out his “Still The Problem” tour across 23 stadium shows in 12 cities, according to Universal Music.

Universal reported that the album spent 14 non-consecutive weeks at the top spot of the Billboard 200 chart, yet that wasn’t enough to snag a nomination for the biggest honors at the CMAs.
Fans defended Wallen, airing their grievances on social media.
“CMA is a joke. Morgan doesn’t need its approval,” one person wrote on Instagram.
“Aint that some sh!t!! All of it. He don’t need their opinion on who he is. He is number 1 to all his true fans,” another internet user said.

Other comments included, “Definitely rigged. Absolutely has been at the top of the charts for years,” and “Morgan has been putting out absolute BANGERS… what the hell has Chris Stapleton done?”

Wallen and fellow country superstar Jason Aldean took a back seat to Chris Stapleton, and Ella Langley.

“This is absurd,” one person wrote on X.
“That doesn’t make sense. AT ALL! Ruins the credibility of the CMA’s,” another said.
