For farmers who believe fertilizer monopolies are the main culprits behind steadily rising fertilizer prices, it was a crucial step toward breaking what has become known as the “fertilizer cartel,” a group that includes Mosaic, Nutrien, CF Industries, Koch Agronomic Services and Yara International.
