‘Home Improvement’ Star Reportedly Arrested After Police-Involved Incident

Police arrested “Home Improvement” star Jonathan Taylor Thomas after he allegedly kicked a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy in the stomach during a traffic stop.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the child star was arrested on suspicion of obstruction and public intoxication. They said he was the passenger in a car pulled over on the morning of Sept. 21 in Malibu when the alleged incident unfolded, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement said Thomas was inside a vehicle stopped in an intersection and was blocking traffic. Police alleged that Thomas was instructed to remain in the car but failed to comply, and reportedly kicked a deputy in the stomach as the officer attempted to arrest him, according to TMZ. Police arrested Thomas for obstructing and resisting an officer and processed him at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station’s jail on Monday. The famous actor was released from police custody Tuesday.

Thomas does not maintain a social media account.

His representatives declined to comment on the matter, according to TMZ.
