Jay-Z Pulls Stunning Power Move With Super Bowl Halftime Show Decision: REPORT

Jay-Z reportedly pulled off the ultimate power move by selecting himself to headline the Super Bowl halftime show Feb. 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Jay-Z’s influence over the selection of Super Bowl halftime performers comes through a lucrative partnership between his entertainment company, Roc Nation, and the NFL. The $5 million-a-year deal, first signed in 2019, made Roc Nation the league’s official live music entertainment strategist and co-producer of the halftime show.

The NFL renewed the agreement in 2024 for another five years, giving Jay-Z and his company a continued role in curating one of the biggest musical spectacles in the world.

That influential position reportedly paved the way for the rapper to tag himself in for the coveted 2027 performance, according to Puck News.

Multiple sources suggested that Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber were in talks about the opportunity, but were ultimately bumped.

Jay-Z has not officially confirmed the news.

The music mogul is slated to perform two shows at SoFi Stadium this weekend, and it is believed he may publicly announce his involvement at the Super Bowl halftime show at that time, according to Puck News. (RELATED: Prince Harry Says He Remains Optimistic About Royal Family Reconciliation)
