He was transported to a hospital in Las Vegas. Davi Ramos, his coach, later published on social media that Barcelos is doing okay.
“Everything is fine, everyone can stay calm,” wrote Ramos, which was translated into English from Portuguese, per ESPN. “He went to get a CT scan now. We’re here waiting for him.”
Having a career record of 13-1, Rosas entered the final round aggressively being down on all three scorecards for the bantamweight bout. At one point, he slammed Barcelos to the mat during a clinch against the fence, which caused the latter to seemingly hit his head on the cage or canvas.

Herb Dean, the referee of the bout, rapidly saw Barcelos appearing to be unconscious and ended the fight 1 minute and 38 seconds into the round.
Barcelos, who has a 22-6 record, stayed on the canvas before being taken out of the cage on a stretcher.
“I want everybody tonight to please pray for Raoni Barcelos,” said a shaken-up Rosas while speaking in his post-fight interview. “Man, he’s a warrior. It takes two to tango.”
