Police officers in Wichita, Kansas responded to a call Friday around 6:20 p.m. over a fight that popped off at Arthur B. Sim Golf Course.

When they got there, they discovered Scott Denning, 52, looking like an absolute mess after he sustained some kind of brutal face injury in the brawl. (RELATED: Winnipeg Jets Suspend Connor Hellebuyck For Failing To Report To Training Camp)
Denning walked up to a trio of men in order to issue an apology for a bad shot that landed around them, according to Golf Digest. Eventually, the apology flipped into the men arguing, which then escalated into full-blown violence.
Denning allegedly knocked out one of the men and hit another in the head with a golf club, but as you’ll see in his mugshot, there’s no way in hell he didn’t take the worst of the damage.

First off, how does an apology turn into a 3-on-1 battle royale where a golf club gets used as a weapon?
If you walk over to say “my bad” for slicing an errant tee shot into another group’s fairway, and the conversation goes south, you swallow your pride, flip the cart into reverse, and drive away. You don’t pull an iron out of the bag and try to reenact “Braveheart” on the course.
And how the hell did Denning’s face end up looking like it went twelve rounds in a blender with prime Mike Tyson?
