‘Mayor Playing President’: Kyle Kuzma Blasts Zohran Mamdani Following Netanyahu Video

Zohran Mamdani, the mayor of New York City, made comments about Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that brought him backlash. And over the weekend, he was hit with criticism from a person you wouldn’t expect it from: an NBA star. And that NBA star is Kyle Kuzma, a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks. In fact, he even blasted Mamdani as a “mayor playing president.”

Issuing a response to the Twitter video from Mamdani, Kuzma made the suggestion that the mayor had more of an interest in image rather than actually running his city, branding the talking points from Mamdani as nothing more than a facade.

“This is 2026. People cosplaying as things they don’t have the authority, the talent, or the track record to actually be. Just for content,” wrote Kuzma, quote-tweeting the address from Mamdani.(RELATED: Mayor Mamdani Backtracks On Netanyahu Arrest Threats)

Kuzma’s response follows Mamdani releasing a video that called for Netanyahu’s arrest via a warrant from the International Criminal Court prior to the United Nations General Assembly.
