Wife Of Kansas City Chiefs Coach Eric Bieniemy Shot Inside Home

The wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was shot Sunday night inside their Virginia home, according to local authorities.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) issued a statement saying the couple’s son, Elijah Bieniemy was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and Discharge of a Firearm Inside of a Dwelling. He is being held without bond.

The LCSO said they responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on the 20000 block of Northpark Drive in Ashburn, Virginia, at 7:32 pm Sunday. A 57-year-old woman believed to be Mia Bieniemy was located suffering “serious injuries.” She was rushed to hospital where she is believed to be in stable condition.

Mia suffered “multiple gunshot wounds,” according to the LCSO.

Eric was at Missouri Western State’s campus for the Chiefs’ second training camp session earlier Sunday.

The police noted there was no threat to public safety, and urged anyone with information to contact them directly.
